How It Works

The List functions as a curated database of companies that can be filtered in the following ways:

Focus: represents the area of interest, or industry, that a company is working within. A company may have one or more Foci.

Investors: the list is curated by using leading investors as a signal that a company is promising and taking meaningful strides towards solving a specific problem. I've highlighted key investors as potential filters, giving you the ability to only see companies backed by specific investors.

Stage: every company is bucketed into one of three stages: Early, Middle, and Late. These categories are defined by employee count and are meant as a proxy for the company's risk of failure. For example, a company with 500 employees is considered "Late" stage and thus less risky than a company of 10 employees, which is considered "Early" stage.

You can also search by any keyword that might be associated with a specific company in the "Search" bar. For example, a word in a company description, a city, or even a company name.

Once you've narrowed down your search, click on the company's card and you'll be taken to their website.
